Generic Benicar is the highly popular trade name for the prescription drug Olmesartan medoxomil, primarily applied to address the condition of high blood pressure. Approved by the US FDA for the treatment of hypertension, Benicar belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It blocks blood vessels from narrowing down, leading to lower levels of blood pressure and improved blood flow.  The function of kidneys gets enhanced too as they will be able to excrete additional fluid from the body.

Off-label Uses
